What's going on at Albuquerque Dragway

High School Class added to 5 Events in 2012
|
|
The newly created High School Class we be run at 5 events. May 18th (no points)
June 15th July 13th Aug
24th Sept 21st The
class rules follow the same vehicle requirements for our Sportsman Bracket class. The participants must have attended
high school during 2012. A high school ID must be shown at the events. There will be a champion crowned at our 2012
Awards banquet to be held in January 2013. The top racers in points will be eligible to attend the ET Bracket finals
representing Albuquerque Dragway in Bakersfield, CA in Sept. We are allowed to take 4 racers. There is no entry fee to enter the class, however the driver must purchase a tech card for $15 as part of the
test and tune that is scheduled for that day. 1st round buy back will be allowed for $10

when it makes it pass, it smells like Jelly Belly's. How cool is THAT!

BLAKE'S LOTABURGER ANNOUNCED AS NEW CONCESSIONS
VENDOR AT ALBUQUERQUE DRAGWAY
We are excited to announce that Blake's Lotaburger will be our new concessions vendor. They
will be at most events serving their famous burgers and other foods. Other vendors will also be on hand for some of
events.

NEW GAMBLER CLASS ADDED TO ALL BRACKET RACES
In an effort to give racers more racing time, we are adding a consolation class to all bracket
races. All cars who have lost either 1st or 2nd round may enter a consolation class. The entry is $25, all classes
will be combined and will run each other until there is a winner. 50% of the pot will be split between the winner and
runner up. 60% going to the winner and 40% going to the runner up. No points will be given for this class.

Reminder of 2012 Rule Changes
There are several new rules for 2012 that all racers should be aware of. - All helmets
must be dated with a snell date of 2005 or newer. Effective January 1, 2012, "2000" and earlier dated
helmets are now disallowed in all clasess.
- Any car running quicker than 7.50
seconds must have a Head and Neck restraint device.
- Any car running quicker
than 9.99 or 135 mph must have SFI Roll Bar Padding.

TORCO Race Fuels Now Available at the Track
|
|
|
This year Torco Race Fuels will be available at Albuquerque Dragway. The track was able to strike a deal that will
allow us to sell a good racing fuel at a lower price. Racing fuel will be available at every event starting March 12th.
There is a discount for anyone who wishes to purchase fuel by the drum.
|
|
Albuquerque Dragway needs your old drag slicks. Any 32 or 33" drag slicks are needed to help put rubber down
on the track. or bring them by tech.
